I found the …
I found the informaton while doing a research paper on the area. The information is also widely available on line. I tried posting the link this morning and would not let me do that. So just search under The Truth about the Myrtles plantation.
Historical records of the day and the books and records of the plantations holding do not list Chloe either. As well as the deaths being listed as death by Yellow Fever.

There were three …
There were three children but only two were girls the third was a son. The mother and children were not poisoned by Chloe as she never existed. The deaths of the mother and children was caused by the yellow fever epidemic that swept Louisiana at that time.
Get the hisory right especially when teaching it to the kids

I’ve stayed there …
I’ve stayed there twice in the Fannie Williams suite, and I’ve had a disturbing experience. The tours are intriguing, and the cafe there is great.

Oh my god Sarah …
Oh my god Sarah Matilda was only fourteen when she got married. Its so hard to believe how socially accepted it was for girls to get married at such a young age. Wheras nowadays the wife would be a middle-school teenager.

If they could …
If they could choose. ;)

Bickaa8012 on November 30th, 2009 at 8:21 pm #

I never said there …
I never said there was a Heaven. What I’m saying is that if a depressed and desperate person wanted to commit suicide, they would probable choose a location where they believe that could spend the rest of eternity on Earth rather than rot in Hell.

Dannyri101 on November 30th, 2009 at 8:21 pm #

Hmmm… well- for …
Hmmm… well- for one thing I don’t believe in ghosts.. (No heaven, I’m depressed! D:)

for another, it might a different kind of to be a ghost, did you know there was a to go to after you died? You’d be left to walk the earth thinking this is all that is left, to remain a mystery and no one to talk to. Besides, do you even have a choice? Seems to me is where you are sent, not where you end up at.

Bickaa8012 on November 30th, 2009 at 8:21 pm #

No. It is better to …
No. It is better to be a ghost than to be in hell.

Dannyri101 on November 30th, 2009 at 8:21 pm #

No option of going …
No option of going to heaven?

Bickaa8012 on November 30th, 2009 at 8:21 pm #

I always wonder: …
I always wonder: Does committing suicide in a haunted house guarantee you get to spend eternity as a ghost instead of spending an eternity in hell? If that were a fact, suicide rates in haunted houses would go up quiet dramatically.
